Why Quadd.ai
We chose the name Quadd.ai to represent the “Fourth Estate” — a term for the press and news media that highlights their vital role in holding power accountable and safeguarding democracy.
The idea comes from the traditional European concept of the three Estates of the realm: the First Estate (the clergy), the Second Estate (the nobility), and the Third Estate (the commoners). The press emerged as the Fourth Estate because of its power to inform the public and act as a watchdog alongside these institutions.
At Quadd.ai, we see AI as the next pillar of support for modern journalism — a practical, intelligent partner that helps reporters work smarter, cover more stories, and keep the Fourth Estate strong for generations to come.
(Oh, and ‘quad,’ with only one d, was already taken.)
